((Auman)) was a heavy metal and stoner metal band from Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia. The band was formed in 2010 and was active until 2015. Their music combines elements of heavy metal, stoner rock, and hard rock, and their lyrical themes often centered around social criticism and environmental issues. The band’s name, “Auman,” translates to “roar” in Indonesian, reflecting their raw and powerful sound.
The original lineup of ((Auman)) consisted of Farid Amriansyah (vocals), Zarbin Sulaiman (bass), Aulia Effendy (drums), Erwin Wijaya (guitar), and Ahmad Ruliansyah (guitar). They released one full-length album, Suar Marabahaya, in 2012, which was well-received within the Indonesian metal community. The album included tracks like “City of Ghosts” and “Viva Rimau! Rimau!” that showcased their heavy and groove-laden sound.
Unfortunately, the band disbanded in February 2015 while in the process of recording their second album. Their split was an amicable decision, with no personal conflicts among the members. Despite their short-lived career, ((Auman)) left a mark on the Indonesian metal scene and is remembered for their unique blend of metal and stoner rock influences.
